Merry Christmas~
We hope you have had wonderful Christmas! It was so nice to be able to relax and enjoy a day with family. For Christmas Breakfast we had the Raspberry Stuffed French Toast. How many others had it? It was perfect to just pop in the oven and pull out 30 min.later. Yummy!!
I would post some pics but... I dropped my camera into my cup of coffee this morning. Yup, not working. So off to Berry's Camera Shop we will go tomorrow. Here's hoping that they can work some magic. Otherwise I guess I'm asking Santa for a camera next year :(
We are closed for the rest of this week, but look at our January menu and calender and start planning. We have a new menu, and many brand new entrees. We also have the Canadian Bacon Stuffed French Bread again in January!! Sessions start Friday, Jan. 2 and all sessions for the 2nd & 3rd are open for children 10 and up. So spend some quality time with the kids, get them out of the house doing something productive, and come in and make your January meals.
We are also continuing our Food Drive. We hope everyone will bring in a few cans or boxes to benefit the Faith Community Food Pantry.
Have a Blessed Christmas~

Happy Anniversary to Us!!
Today we celebrate our 1 year anniversary. It's hard to believe it's been a year already, but at the same time I find myself wondering how it's only a year. We've learned A LOT this year, and we've met a lot of wonderful, fabulous people that we didn't know a year ago.
We've had so many people come into our store, and I hope, walk out having had a great time and taking home some great food. Now we just need to figure out how to get everyone to come back every month, or even every other month! So this is where you come in. We want to hear from you!! What are we doing right? And what are we doing wrong? How can we help you more? What could we improve? We believe there are many of you out there who plan on coming in, but for some reason or another don't. So we want to know.

We want to say THANK YOU! to everyone who has come in, made meals with us, supported us and encouraged us. We could not have done it without you. And THANK YOU to all of our fabulous and dedicated employees. We are so blessed to have such a great team.

For all you Dr. Phil watchers out there - Dream Dinners will be participating in the Tuesday, Dec. 16 show. So watch, or set your DVRs, and then let us know what you think!

Blessings~

Our Gift to You

Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is just around the corner. That means we have 3 weeks to fit in parties, shopping, decorating, and various school and church shows. We don't want you to sacrifice family dinnertime, so we are offering FREE meal assembly this month. But did you know we are also offering delivery? We're starting with a few key spots, such as the Purdue Union and PEFCU Main Branch. If you would like to take advantage of this, simply register for that designated session. We look forward to expanding our delivery sites in 2009, so if you have an idea let us know! And remember, bring in canned or boxed goods when you come in, either to pick-up or assemble your meals, to register for a free session!

We're having a Baby Shower!

Last week we had our very first baby shower!
And we hope it's not our last. The staff at Wea Ridge decided to pitch in and purchase meals for one of their own. And instead of just giving her a gift certificate, they decided to come in with her and make a few meals for themselves. Some just made 1, others stocked up. But everyone had fun. The Guest of Honor was able to make a bunch of meals for her family too. Thank you Stefani for organizing this wonderful evening. And good luck Courtney! Thank you for allowing us to play a small part.

Fundraisers and Thankfulness

Wow! Where has the month gone? We started this blog at the end of October with plans, great plans, many plans, and here it is, the middle of November.
As we approach Thanksgiving we often get caught up in the busyness of the season. Dinners to plan, school functions to attend, activities to keep the kids busy, homework, housework.....
This past Monday evening we participated in a fundraiser to benefit Habitat for Humanity. The core goal of Habitat is to help families own a home that may not have any other way to. It requires so many volunteers, time, and donations. And it doesn't have to be huge. Monday we were at Personal Touch Photography with food for everyone to taste and soup to sell. There were about 15 people there, and it was fun! Everyone just relaxed and enjoyed their evening. And in the end some money was raised. It will go to Habitat and it will help someone build a home. What a great feeling! This is what we need to remember and be thankful for. We have food for our families, a home to keep us warm, and the support of family and friends.

We love fundraisers. It allows us to support our community while helping our guests make wonderful healthy meals for their families. It's a win win. So far this year we've helped 2 families battling childhood cancer, a local MOPS group, Relay for Life, The Allergy Awareness Walk, Diabetes Walk, and a family raising funds for a needed surgery. We've also donated gift certificates and gift baskets to more fundraising events than we can name!! We have been given an opportunity to help our community though Dream Dinners, and we look forward to doing more in 2009! If you have a fundraising idea please let us know! We would love to hear more ideas.

Our final "fundraiser" of this year is a food drive. Starting next week and for the month of December we will be accepting canned goods to benefit our community. We are tying this in with a drawing for a free session. Everyone who comes in, makes some meals, and brings canned goods will be entered to win. We look forward to seeing you!
